COVID-19 TEMCC Update 

19 March 2020

The Australian Government has announced new community sport guidelines to combat the spread of COVID-19, as of 18 March 2020. These guidelines were developed by the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC), comprising all state and territory Chief Health Officers and is chaired by the Australian Chief Medical Officer, Professor Brendan Murphy. All community sport participants must play a role to help reduce the transmission of COVID 19, including those organizing, attending or supporting attendance at these activities.


Top End Motocross Club Committee COVID-19 measures will include but not limited to:

  • TEMCC will encouraging social distancing (standing and pit areas 1.5m away from each other)
  • TEMCC will be providing riders and officials’ briefings via Public Address (PA) system
  • TEMCC will commencement, a maximum plus 1 for any entered rider (essential support person only) if number of competitors exceed 100
  • TEMCC will be communicating to participants at all levels that if they are unwell, they must stay away from the venue
  • TEMCC will have provisions of hand washing facilities at events
  • TEMCC will ensure toilets have hand wash and paper towels. We will place a bin near the door so people can use paper towels to open the door then dispose of
  • TEMCC will heightened hygiene practices around food preparation and sale
  • TEMCC will postpone all after event presentations until further updates regarding mass gatherings
  • TEMCC will reconsider the need to offer camping
  • TEMCC will monitor the need to have no non-essential people to attend the event (e.g. spectators)
  • TEMCC will ensure regular PA announcements throughout the duration of the event promoting all of the above
  • TEMCC will ask all riders at briefing if they have returned from Overseas or infected area – send any home who have returned from Overseas or an infection area
No riders allowed if they have returned from Overseas and NOT spent 14 days in isolation, if you have returned from overseas and not isolated, the other persons residing with you cannot ride.


The TEMCC committee are committed to running events in 2020, provided the governing body approves our events.

Applications Open For Australian FIM Oceania Junior Motocross Tri-Nations Cup Team

Motorcycling Australia (MA) is calling for applications from riders to be a part of the Australian Team to compete in the 2020 FIM Oceania Junior Motocross Tri-Nations Cup.


Applications can be found on the MA website HERE and must be submitted by no later than COB Friday 21st February 2020

CAMPBELL PARK COMPLEX CLOSURE

Please be advised that the TEMCC Campbell Park Complex will be CLOSED on Thursday 16th January from 7am for track preparation for this weekend's coaching school.

We will advise members once it is reopened.

ALL TRACKS WILL BE CLOSED during this time.

NEW DIRECTION FOR NATURAL TERRAIN TRACK ONLY - CLOCKWISE

NATURAL TERRAIN TRACK DIRECTION HAS CHANGED TO RUNNING CLOCKWISE!

Construction of a new start line will commence shortly for racing this year.

Please note the track itself has not been prepped lately due to recent wet weather..

Please ensure all members ride in the NEW direction only.

MOTOCROSS TRACK REDESIGN

Please be advised that the preliminary design concept for the MX track for Season 2020 have been emailed out to members, we would like positive and constructive input from our members.

Please submit your thoughts via email ([email protected]) by 4:00pm - 17th January 2020, as construction of the new track will commence shortly after this date.
